Description S-LINK™ S-Link™ is a CAN bus-based control system used for communication between Sleipner products installed on a vessel. Cables are available in various lengths, extensions, and T-connectors, making the system flexible and expandable for any type of installation. Q-PROP™ Q-PROP™ has been measured to reduce noise by up to 75% in controlled environments. The five-bladed skew propeller reduces noise levels while maintaining excellent performance. Some thruster models even show an increase in thrust. Expected noise reduction in average installations: 20–40% Upgrade kits are available for most SLEIPNER Side-Power thruster models with special adapters. PRO™ A PRO™ thruster system allows for the application of only the necessary power for your maneuver. Variable speed control eliminates the noise associated with conventional on/off thrusters. The system also includes a highly practical hold function. In a dual system (bow–stern), a single button press keeps your vessel stable parallel to the dock — transforming docking into a task for… one person. Thrusters with speed control are the ideal choice for joystick systems. SMART POWER CONTROL SLEIPNER Side-Power’s patented Smart Power Control provides minimal delay between thrust directions, reducing wear on mechanical parts while monitoring the operation of the solenoid valves. In the event of a valve “lock-up,” the thruster automatically stops without any additional user action or main switch control. OVERHEAT PROTECTION When high temperatures are detected, On/Off thrusters automatically shut down to prevent overheating. PRO™ thrusters with speed control provide longer operating times by reducing power to maintain a safe temperature. GALVANIC SEPARATION Parts submerged and exposed to seawater are galvanically isolated from the vessel’s electrical system, eliminating unwanted current flows. SEALED DRIVE LUBRICATION The thruster’s gearleg is pre-filled for lifetime lubrication and sealed with a long-lasting mechanical seal featuring ceramic and carbon fiber surfaces for ultimate protection against water ingress. DUAL PROPELLERS Dual propellers can provide greater thrust compared to a single propeller system, within the same tunnel diameter. This system is utilized in SLEIPNER Side-Power’s mid-range models, where high thrust is required in small tunnel diameters.
