Description The Rule 39-24 Mercury Free ECO Switch is a 24V automatic bilge pump control switch designed as an ecological and reliable alternative to traditional float switches. Instead of a mechanical float mechanism, the ECO Switch operates using air pressure. As water rises in the bilge, air inside the attached sensing tube is compressed, activating the switch and starting the pump. When the water level drops, pressure decreases and the pump switches off. This design contains no moving internal parts and no submerged electrical connections, as all wiring remains outside the water. The mercury-free construction makes it environmentally sound while reducing the risk of mechanical jamming caused by debris.
